In the production process of Petrochemical Enterprises, there will be a large amount of oil sludge. Oil sludge contains a lot of oily organic matters, and has a very high moisture content. If the oil sludge is discharged without treatment, it will badly pollute the environment. As people pay more and more attention to environmental protection, Petrochemical Enterprises have strengthened the governance of oil sludge.
1. Treatment method of oil sludge
At present, the frequently-used treatment method of oil sludge is concentrating and dewatering it, so as to reduce the oil content. After that, send it to the landfill or do further processing. Among various concentration and dewatering equipments, the processing effect of tricanter centrifuge is the best.
2. Working principle of tricanter
Tricanter is mainly composed of drum, screw conveyor, motor, with a compact structure and small volume. When the oil sludge is fed into the tricanter, due to different specific gravities of solid phase, oil phase and water phase, they will be subjected to different centrifugal forces. This forms a concentric solid layer and two liquid layers in the drum. The solid phase will be discharged by the screw conveyor, the oil and water will be discharged from oil outlet and water outlet.
3. Advantages of tricanter in oil sludge treatment
(1) High safety and reliability. The three-phase separation system contains tricanter, dosing device and feed pump. The system is automatically controlled by PLC and equipped with a chain protection system. If abnormal situations occured, such as over pressure, over temperature, lack of flocculant, lack of feedstock, the separation system will shutdown the tricanter or alarm to protect the tricanter. In addition, the rotating part of the tricanter is fully sealed to prevent injury to the operator.
(2) Convenient operation. The tricanter can be operated by only one operator, which reduces the labor intensity and labor cost. Because the tricanter is fully sealed when running, the noise and pollution of the workplace is very low.
(3) Long maintenance cycle. Due to reasonable structure design and the use of materials with good wear resistance, the tricanter runs smoothly without major fault, it has a long maintenance cycle.
(4) Low energy consumption. The total power of the separation system is only 37.5 kW, with a power consumption of 2.4 kW per ton oil sludge. It has a low energy consumption and high economic benefit.
4. Conclusion
The use of tricanter in oil sludge treatment has improved the treatment effect and met the environmental protection requirements. In addition, it can be used for the separation of municipal sewage sludge and other solid-liquid-liquid separation projects.
